Entry Checklist
Frequently asked questions
You enter a planned trade: instrument, direction, entry price, stop loss, take profit and position size. The app shows the estimated risk as an amount and a percentage of your account, plus the reward-to-risk ratio, and checks the setup against your checklist. The result is Approved, Warning, Blocked or Paused, with the reasons listed.
Supported rules, such as a stop loss being set, risk staying within your limit and reward meeting your target ratio, are checked automatically from your inputs. The rest of the checklist you confirm yourself.
You set a maximum risk per trade, a daily loss limit and a maximum number of trades per day. When your recorded daily loss or trade count reaches its limit, new checks pause until the next day, and a setup blocked by your risk rules triggers a short pause. After you record a trade, while checks are paused, or while “Did you place it?” is awaiting your answer, limits can be tightened but not loosened.
No. Daily limits depend on the information you enter. Entry Checklist does not retrieve trades or account balances from a broker, does not place trades and does not connect to your brokerage account.
You can review setups for forex, crypto, stocks, indices, metals and energy. Account currencies are USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CHF, AUD and CAD, with ECB reference exchange rates used for supported currency conversions.
No. Entry Checklist has no accounts and no sign-up. Your rules, limits and daily records are stored on your device.
No. Daily records and counters reset at midnight, and no long-term trade history is kept.
Only with your consent. Optional usage analytics is enabled only if you agree, and can be disabled in Settings.
No. Checklist results reflect your own rules. “Approved” is not a recommendation to trade, and “Blocked” does not prevent you from placing an order on another platform. Risk and position size calculations are estimates; actual outcomes may differ due to execution prices, slippage, fees and market conditions. Entry Checklist does not provide financial advice.
Your rules, limits and daily records live on your device and are removed when you uninstall the app.
